Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently asked questions answered by our doctors
Can I exercise after getting botox?
You must wait at least 4 hours for moderate-intensity exercise to allow Botox to settle. Refrain from moving unnecessarily. If you engage in hot yoga or vigorous exercise with a heart rate exceeding 130, it's recommended to wait 24 hours post-treatment. Once this time has passed, you are free to resume exercising as desired.
How long does Botox last?
Botox longevity varies from 3 to 10 months, depending on the brand of botulinum toxin used. The most popular choice, often used in Korea, typically lasts around 3-5 months for most individuals. Botox from Germany and the United States tends to have a slightly longer duration, with the exact timeframe depending on the specific brand.
Can I be allergic to botox?
there is a very low chance of being allergic to Botox. However, in the most severe cases, there may be small rashes around the injected area, which can be treated and cured with antihistamines.
Is it dangerous to get fillers?
It is safe when injected with genuine Hyaluronic Acid (HA), which is the most popular and safest dermal filler. Dermal fillers can be gradually dissolved, allowing for continuous injections. Despite their widespread global use, it does not mean that authentic filler injections are 100% safe.
Can I consume alcohol after botox?
It is advisable to wait at least one day before consuming alcohol after receiving Botox treatment. This is because alcohol has properties that thin the blood, making the injected skin more prone to bruising. However, there are no strict rules other than the increased risk of bruising and prolonged recovery time. Alcohol does not directly affect Botox.
How much filler should be used?
Under-eye filler: 1-3 cc.
Cheekbone filler: 1-3 cc.
Chin filler: 1-2 cc.
Forehead filler: 3-5 cc.
Temple filler (each side): 2-4 cc.
Jawline filler (each side): 1-2 cc.
Lip filler: 1-2 cc.
Can fillers enter the bloodstream? Is surgical removal necessary?
Authentic fillers, such as Restylane, Juvederm, and Belotero, which meet industry standards and are approved by the FDA, can naturally dissolve 100%. They can be gradually refilled. Generally, before the injection, the physician should unpack and open the filler tube for the client to inspect its authenticity. The challenge is that, before the injection, doctors may not reveal the type of filler used. Encountering counterfeit fillers (dissolving rapidly) or liquid silicone (non-dissolvable, requiring removal) can be problematic.
How many days does it take for fillers to settle in?
After a dermal filler injection, there may be some swelling that typically subsides within 4-5 days. Visible results usually appear within 2-3 weeks. The longevity of the filler varies between 12-18 months, depending on the type of filler used. Genuine fillers naturally dissolve entirely, with no lingering residue, typically achieving a 100% dissolution rate.
